DAMS Lucas Oil confirms Nicola Lacorte for the 2025 Formula 3 season
DAMS Lucas Oil is pleased to announce that Alpine Academy driver Nicola Lacorte will race for the team in the FIA Formula 3 Championship for the 2025 season.
The Italian spent the early months of 2024 competing in Formula Regional Oceania Championship, where he took one win and a further podium, before spending the remainder of the year taking part in Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA).
Previously, the 17-year-old has driven in both Euro 4 and Italian Formula 4 Championship, taking a win and a podium in the latter. Lacorte becomes the second driver to be confirmed by DAMS Lucas Oil, and will join Matías Zagazeta on next year’s grid.
The 2025 Formula 3 season kicks off in Melbourne, Australia on March 14-16. The full calendar can be found here.
Nicola Lacorte: “I’m delighted to sign for DAMS Lucas Oil for next season, considering their great history in Formula 2. I’ve learnt a lot from my experiences of 30 car grids in FRECA this year, which will be important with a similar size field in F3. My goal for the campaign is to maximise my performance and look to score points whenever possible.”
Charles Pic, Team Owner: “It’s great to have Nicola on board for 2025 following the tests in Jerez and Barcelona earlier this month. We’re looking forward to seeing him develop throughout the campaign. With the team’s proven methods in other series, we’re aiming to help one another to achieve great results.”
